yay! I’m so excited to work with you!
Congrats! Another big thing to mark off your wedding planning check list ;) I am so honored you chose me to be a part of such a special journey - thank you so much!!
This will be the place you can resort to to get more information about what to expect for the rest of the wedding photography process. My job is to make your experience as easy and stress-free as possible, so if you need anything, I’m only an email away!
Having gotten married in April 2024, I know first hand how overwhelming weddings can be. So I also wanted to create a page for all my couples highlighting various tips and tricks I’ve learned from not only working hundreds of them, but from planning my own! I hope this helps you no matter how big or small!

MORE ABOUT THE PROCESS
*Important to note
I will be out for maternity leave starting June 8th until September 7th. If you need to schedule a photography session during this time, I can hire an associate shooter to shoot it for me while I’m out with our new little girl! I will still schedule, edit, and deliver the photos :)
Thank you for understanding!
-Kylie
Engagements
*if applicable
You guys can schedule as soon or as late as you'd like! Weekdays are pretty flexible for me and preferred since weddings + family time are reserved for my weekends. :)
I also ask that you schedule at least a month before to lock down a date! Whenever you guys are ready you can shoot me an email with what month and week you'd prefer so I can send over my availability!
For locations - I have shot at many places & you can find my location guide here. If you have a Pinterest or any inspo pics, I’d love to see them! You can send it to my email and I can recommend locations based off of that as well :)
Bridals
*if applicable
I highly suggest scheduling your bridals no later than 2 months out from your wedding to allow enough time for editing!
Let me know as soon as your dress is altered and ready so we can discuss locations and dates :)
Again, I can recommend locations based off what vibe/vision you have for your bridals if you need a little extra help. You can find bridal locations in my location guide here. I also included any fees + scheduling requirements that they might have!

FAQs
-
I find the the best light is in the afternoon right before sunset! About 1.5-2 hours before sunset based on what time of year + how many outfits you are wanting to do for engagements. The same usually goes for bridals as well :)
-
I usually recommend 2-3! I find it's the best option regarding time and lighting. It's also easier on you guys if there aren't many places around to change or touch up hair and make up.
-
I do not charge extra for travel in state! If you are wanting to do an out-of-state engagement or bridal session, I am 100% down - just shoot me an email so we can discuss locations and logistics!
-
You sure can! If you end up wanting to add on a session, reach out to me so we can chat about the details!
NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF.
WEDDING DAY
Around 2-4 weeks before the wedding I'll be in touch to go over the details and create a timeline for the day of!
*friendly tip
Day of hair and makeup can make or break the day as far as timing goes. If your vendors reach out about a timeline that they need to be done, feel free to email me so we can discuss it to ensure everything goes smoothly!
I also attach a family photo list at the bottom of all my timelines. Please feel free to use it as a guide when creating your own!
I only ask that you get it back to me before the wedding date.
It might be a lengthy process, but I promise it’ll make the wedding day go by smoother.

TIPS + TRICKS
Getting ready locations
Think of your getting ready location as a third venue. After all, your location becomes your photos! I recommend somewhere with lots of natural light and clean/white walls if possible. The more tidy, the better! Getting ready locations can make or break those early detail shots, especially if it’s a dark, rainy day.
While it’s not 100% necessary, try to think - the more aesthetically pleasing, the better :)
Wedding day details
One of my favorite things is getting to play around with your wedding day details! Here’s a list of various items brides have included:
All jewelry (rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings), shoes, wedding stationary, loose florals, perfume, bouquet rosary/pin, Bride/Groom letters, any other sentimental details, (and of course) veil and dress!
deciding between a first look or not
While it’s ultimately up to the couple, I will forever be an advocate for first looks! Especially if having a fall wedding with an early sunset.
Doing a first look not only allows you to spend your wedding day with your partner, but it also could help get all those pre-ceremony jitters out! It also allows for time to get lots of couple portraits + family photos out of the way if wanted.
the ceremony
Make sure to hold the kiss for at least 3 seconds to ensure it gets photographed!
If you want a fun photo when exiting the ceremony, kiss again and do a little dip!
Photo delivery
I deliver all my photos through an online gallery called PicTime. I recommend downloading all your photos and saving them to an external hard drive/USB drive immediately upon delivery so you always have them in a safe place!
*my turnaround time for sessions is 2-3 weeks + wedding gallery turnaround time is 8-12 weeks! During busy season, turnaround time may vary.
